The problem that I see, the market not geared neither for Millennials nor for Y generations. The high-passed progress absolutely not reflected in house-building industry. Builders arrogantly ignore the needs and wants on modern buyers. They focus on impressing us with sq footage of absolutely dysfunctional spaces, not with practical layouts, functionality of multiple used environment and the implemented technologies that make houses sustainable, saving the homeowner money, rather than wasting it.

      Hi Tatyana,

This is a definite concern within the real estate industry– if the sellers aren’t producing something that Gen Y is interested in, Gen Y won’t buy. This is why it is crucial that the housing industry recognize that Gen Y is, indeed, interested in home-ownership so that they won’t keep inadvertently writing them off and, instead, catering to the wants of previous generations.

      Thanks for the comment,
      Jim
