These Agents Are Getting Listings – Here’s How You Can Too
If you feel like you’re struggling to get listings this year, you’re not alone.
According to the National Association of Realtors, inventory is down nationwide by over 25% YOY, making this not only a competitive market for buyers & sellers – but agents too.
The good news is: there are agents getting listings right now.
Here’s their advice on how you can too.
Tamara Inzunza – Video
Five years ago Tamara Inzunza, a Realty One Group agent based out of Alexandria, VA, was just your average camera-shy realtor. Sound familiar?
Like most agents, Tamara recognized the value in adding video to her social media and marketing strategy but just didn’t know how or where to start.
That was…until the world changed. With no other way to reach her sphere, she turned to video to help her clients navigate the real estate market.
Now, with a full-blown Youtube Channel that she regularly updates, she has not only found the perfect outlet to educate her clients but attract new ones too.
With a mix of market updates, new listing walk-throughs, real estate tips and more, Tamara’s videos show off her market knowledge, prove her value as an expert and provide the perfect platform for new clients to find her.
When it comes to making videos, she recommends making the process as simple as possible. By using the Monthly Market Report script and KCM Blogs as her talking points, relying on her iPhone or Zoom to film, and exploring apps like Over to help with editing, she’s found a strategy that’s easy and budget-friendly.
Another pro tip from Tamara: look at videos other agents are creating for inspiration.
“I watch a lot of other agents’ videos because it’s helpful to see how other people are doing it. It [also] boosts your creativity.”
With over 20,000 followers on Instagram, Keri White is the agent to look to if you want to turn likes into listings. But her success didn’t happen overnight. The L.A.-based agent with The Agency said it took a lot of trial, error, and (of course) selfies to figure out a strategy that simultaneously builds her brand and her business. Today, it’s one of her biggest lead drivers.
For Keri, one of the most common mistakes she sees agents make on Instagram is that they use it to sell real estate – and that’s it.
“There’s this misconception that you’re on [Instagram] to sell real estate….so you should be posting pictures of houses, living rooms, and just solds. But those posts historically have the lowest engagement.”
Instead, she suggests shifting your strategy to follow the 80/20 rule: 80% personal posts and 20% listings, buyer & seller tips & market insights.
“Remember, it’s a social platform. You’re on it, of course, to build your business. But really to be social, have fun, enjoy, share and connect with your friends, family, and clients.”
In order to achieve that, Keri recommends creating a weekly social media calendar (like the one below) that helps you plan what you’re going to post every day. That way, you can balance your feed with fresh new content that not only shows off your professional side but your personal one too.
“Remember, people work with you when they like and trust you. The only way they can do that is if they get to know you. This is not about only showcasing house photos.”

Laura Gwyn – Blogs
We get it. On top of everything else you have to do for your real estate business, a blog doesn’t really make it to the top of your priority list.
But the truth is, any marketing expert will tell you that this small addition to your website can make a big impact. According to Hubspot, businesses with blogs produce an average of 67% more leads monthly than businesses that don’t.
For Laura Gwyn, a real estate agent based in Salem, Oregon, blogs have become more than just the backbone of her digital marketing – they are a big appointment driver.
For Laura, KCM blogs give her endless content to post on social media, incorporate into email campaigns, and share with her clients.
But the biggest impact Laura notices from her content marketing efforts is an overall boost in brand awareness and online presence that’s led to getting appointments – weekly.
“I get about three ‘come-list-me’ calls per week with this online presence.”
