Change In Home Sales By Price Range [INFOGRAPHIC] | Keeping Current Matters

Some Highlights:

  • Home Sales are up year-over-year in the top 4 price ranges and only slightly below last year's numbers in a fifth.
  • A lack of distressed property inventory has led to a slow down in sales in the under $100K price range.
  • As home prices continue to rise, there will be fewer homes available for sale in the lower ranges.

Information like this is so broad and confusing. With this partcular item we can look at it as “homes sold in this range” or as “home price increase/decrease in range”. Unless Im reading this incorrectly. When Sellers see information like this they think their homes have increased in value when in many areas there has not even been such an increase. It would be great if KCM would provide area specific information in emails or at least provide more detailed information across the board.

It makes our jobs as Agent harder when we must combat these articles with our clients in regards to a listing price.
