    During the housing boom of 2004-2006, it was a feeding frenzy for home buyers. Everyone thought that home prices were going to continue to increase to a point where nobody could afford them. At the same time, anyone and everyone were getting loans without any money down, and without even having to prove they had a job (no doc loans). It was the perfect storm coming together.
